Moving to a UK city

Areas we know well in each city, with rents from live listings, schools and journey times. Not a ranking.

Most of the people I help have already picked a city, usually because of a job, and the real question is which part of it. These pages are my answer, one city at a time.

For each city I pick three areas I know well, chosen so there is one of each kind: somewhere central for people who want to walk to work, an established suburb for families, and a cheaper option that still has a sensible commute. They are not a ranking and they are not the only good areas, just places I keep coming back to after sixteen years of helping people move.

The figures on every page come from live listings and public data, dated so you can see how fresh they are. The words are mine. Which area fits you is what the Blueprint works out.
